Ms.Client talks about her session:
“Today someone said to me “you’re so brave, I could never get pictures done of me like that” and that gave me pause, am I brave? Is that the word? I’m not sure it is. To me, it’s not brave to have these pictures taken. This is my body, and our bodies are beautiful. These are photos I get to keep and share celebrating me, who I am and what I look like. Is this what stops women from having boudoir photos taken? Boudoir is a celebration of you! Who and how you are.
This brave comment led to a discussion between my coworkers of what they’d want to fix before they had boudoir shots done but they are missing the point!
Nothing about you needs fixing, embrace what you do, who you are and how you look! I can honestly say, looking at my boudoir shots have never made me feel lacking, like maybe I should have waited to lose 20 lbs, or grown out my hair. Each time I do this with Re, I get to buy a new outfit I feel good in, I get a day of pampering by a wonderful hair and makeup artist who knows exactly how to enhance my best features and I get to laugh and pose while I strut my stuff like the gorgeous model I am! Every time I sit down with Re and we go over the gorgeous images she’s captured of me I feel like I’ve been giving such a gift. I’m reminded that I’m confident, beautiful and strong, and I can never thank Re enough for helping me reinforce these feelings.”
