I asked Ms.B to write this blog post about her outdoor boudoir inspired portrait session with me. Not only was the location for the session one of my favorite secluded beaches, but the day had a gorgeous sky and sunset. Ms. B is a really down to earth, casual woman who isn’t into too much fussing. When we talked about the shoot theme and wardrobe, I suggested we avoid wardrobe all together and just drape her in a white sheet. Not only is a beautiful and picturesque, but can give a sense of security when posing outdoors. The fabric can be as revealing as the client wishes, and makes the focus still be about the actual client posing. Really, she looks like a Goddess. Oh, and as a surprise she brought along a Hawaiian inspired floral headpiece which we used! Here is what she wrote:

“Working with Re is like going to a party where you’re the prettiest girl and everyone wants to be your friend. If you think you’re going to be nervous, think again. Somehow Re makes you feel gorgeous and confident.

We laughed the whole time. Re has a innate sense of what will work for each individual she photographs. Indoor sexy boudoir shots are amazing and beautiful, especially Re’s. However that’s not me and Re created a location that reflected me and my personality exactly.

I appreciate that Re agrees and embraces my request for minimal editing. She is real, and I am real. This is me, I am strong and bold and sassy. Re finds that in me every time.

There is no one else that I would ever romp around somewhat naked in the bush and beach with. There is no other photographer I would use.” ~ Ms.B
