Here is an interview with Ms. C, in her own words, about why she choose to have a boudoir photoshoot, what she thought of it, and how it made her feel. I loved this woman’s honesty.

Why did you want to do a boudoir photo session?
“I did some research to see what Boudoir was and quickly thought that it wasn’t for me (because of all the skin that was showing). Eventually I decided to give it a shot, and turn it into a gift for my partner. I’d either hate it or love it. I ended up not minding it, it definitely brought me out of my comfort zone (which I guess is a good thing!)”

What were you most worried/scared about before doing the photo session?
That I would be “too fat” and that I would turn out looking fat in my photos. Of course it’s going to happen but I was able to see myself differently than how I usually do.”

What was the favourite part about your boudoir experience and working with me?
I appreciated how organized you were. Your office and setup of products, your studio set-up, how ready you were for when my tag wouldn’t come off, etc.”

How did you feel after you left the photo session and it was all over?
I felt that perhaps all my worries about my body being “fat” weren’t as I was perceiving them. I also felt unjudged.”

What is your favourite feature about yourself to see on camera?
My favorite feature to see was a curve. Cleavage was nice too.”

Which was your favourite image from your shoot?
My favorite image is the one where my eyes were cropped out. With the blueish light coming from the right side. I also liked any photo that was flattering and had nice color (pink, blue, etc)”

What would you tell your friends about your photoshoot?
I would tell them that although pricey (be ready to get a 2nd job if you want more than I wanted, lol) but the level of professionalism and organization and quality of product you’ll find will explain why. The pictures and products really are of quality, so you really are getting what you pay for. The photographer is non-judgemental and will advise you when something isn’t flattering.”
